Yay for server issues!
I just switched hosts, making extra sure that the website was never down. I mean, it’s tax season, it’s the best time for a tax site to be up, right?
Well, I made one mistake. When I switched hosts, they asked me to cover the domain renewal fees. The domain expired that day, so it seemed reasonable to pay them back for them renewing the domain for me.
Or so I thought.
Instead, they were asking me to pay for the prior year domain registration because I canceled my hosting a day early.
Fortunately, Support was nice enough to realize how ridiculous it was that had I waited 6 hours to cancel I wouldn’t have had to pay anything. So they gave me a credit and got me back online.
Whew. So much fun.
